FISHING
The fishing lake is fully stocked with Carp including 3 x 30Lbs (Mirror, Ghost and Common) Chubb and Roach. The lake is approx. 1 acre in size and is approx.18ft deep in places, with two small islands in the middle. There are approx. 12 pegs around the lake offering different aspects of the lake. Fishing is offered on a day ticket and/ or overnight fishing. Bivvies only around the lake for overnight fishing and no guests unless previously agreed with management. Eco toilet on site for day fishing use.
However should wives or girlfriends wish to join in we do have two shepherd huts which offer more comfy and glamourous overnight accommodation and use of the shower and toilet block.
There is a toilet and shower block with electric showers so no running out of hot water, and also a pot wash area to wash your cooking items and to recharge lanterns and torches and mobiles, there is a shared fridge for perishable food for the campers and a cold water tap for your water requirements.
BBQ HUTs – Glamping
We have two bbq huts that offer more glamourous aspect to camping, with their own internal bbq pits for heating and cooking and a separate bedroom area with double bed for a more cosy night’s sleep, and in addition 2 sleeping areas for children or teenagers.
The bbq huts offer the perfect accommodation for the more adventurous type but without the hassel of camping in traditional tents and the pitfalls of the English un-predictable weather. They offer the perfect base to explore the land, wildlife and are nestled in the orchards so ideal for fruit picking season.
The internal bbq pit offers a roaring fire on the most chilly of evenings and also enables you to cook scrumpcious meals and hot chocolate before bedtime. During the summer months an external bbq is available for meal times. The BBQ huts have electric, and include a Freeview TV/DVD, kettle and small fridge. The toilet and shower facilities are a short walk away.
CAMPING
For those traditionalist, we can offer a limited amount of pitches for camping (no electric hook-ups), but full access to the shower and toilet block on site.
We have a retreat for all campers, set aside from the lake that overlooks open fields of crops and is left to the wildlife to explore as their natural habitat. However we have made this area as user friendly as possible for you to enjoy as a retreat away from your bbq hut or shepherd hut. There are a few entertainment items up there for you to enjoy i.e giant jenga, badmington set, swingball etc. and a picnic area.
